The link for the free or basic (non-trial) version may be hard to find on the Real Player web page, but it is there.  You may need to fill out a questionnaire before you get the free player.

After you download the player, you may need to start the setup program by opening or running the file you downloaded.

After the player is installed, if you have problems with lost connections or it takes to long before it starts, select "View-Preferences-Connection" and choose Buffered Play - Buffer at least <60> seconds. This should help.  If you need help email me at gbc1@pacbell.net.
